Snow in July?!?!

No - that's the marble-size hail that started hammering on our windows at 10:30 last night! I haven't seen Joshua and Hannah move so fast in years - they were securely planted in our bed within miliseconds! The trees really took a beating - there are piles of leaves everywhere. Our neighborhood actually fared pretty good, though. The areas just north of here had a lot of windows blown out and trees pulled out of the ground - yikes! 27,000 homes are still without power. There was a super cool - yet somewhat erie - thick fog blanketing the greenbelt when I walked this morning!

Mohawk Man!

Joshua has been talking for a while about wanting a mohawk for the summer. Greg and I told him that was fine but then he kept changing his mind! Then tonight out of the blue he was like "Yep - let's go!" So off we went!!! I absolutely HAD to take the camera along to get pictures of his beautiful blonde hair falling all around - wah! It's a fun and different look - and in four weeks it will be just another crazy memory!

Wimbledon @ Westborough

The kids have been working on their tennis skills this week! Joshua is participating in a Tennis Camp through Lutheran High School so the past two nights we've been playing down at Westborough Park - very fun! Greg had a racket when we got married - little did I know he's actually pretty quick to the ball!!!

The Return of Cleo

What a day! In all of the craziness of celebrating, our beloved Cleo (AKA Moses / Moey / The Moe) escaped to the outdoors. One neighbor saw her at 10:00 this morning but after that she was MIA. After walking the neighborhood numerous times and posting signs we were getting a little frantic; we have SO many coyotes around here and lots of pets have become their dinner. Just when we were thinking the worst, the kids walked past the front door and there she was on the porch - 8+ hours later! She was pretty freaked out and shaking but wow! Were we thrilled to see her!!! Thank God for little (furry) miracles!

The Birthday Celebration Continues...

Joshua's dudes came and spent the night last night - we had pizza and played late into the night! Today we took Kate, Joshua and Hannah to the rec center to frolic for a while while Lane was in a baseball tournament. Afterwards we had everyone over for a birthday bash! Margie says Joshua and Hannah get to celebrate their birthdays longer than anyone she knows - and she's right - hehe!!!

Gary gave Joshua some amazing coins out of his collection - Joshua said this morning "it's better than birthday money - it's REAL money!"

Adventures in Water!

A friend of ours had FREE tickets to Water World on Tuesday! I was crazy busy at work, but Greg and the kiddos packed the cooler and headed out for a day of fun in the sun!!! They had a great time :-) Check it out:
