Special Times

Every since Joshua and Hannah were teeny tiny, they've spent a day with Boppa Tom and Grammy Darls. I am thrilled that this tradition continues even as they get older! Mom picks them up from school on Wednesdays and it's time to play!!! They love hanging out in "my" room - reading and creating - playing in the backyard - going to "Ducky Doodle" park - and especially having their ice cream there (which by the way, Dad enjoys just as much!). Another bonus? We get to have dinner together mid-week!!!

End-Of-Summer Fun!

We headed for the hills yesterday! First stop - Tiny Town and Railroad ("the oldest kid-size village and railroad in the USA")! Check out http://www.tinytownrailroad.com/. It was a great time!!!

Afterwards we drove up to Evergreen Lake to hike and have a picnic lunch! The weather was gorgeous and it was a great end-of-summer day!!!

Back To School!

Can't believe it! My "babies" are starting 5th and 2nd grade... They both sprang out of bed and were raring to go (yes ~ I realize this probably won't be the case in a few weeks...). Greg and I stopped in the Coffee House for treats after dropping the kids off, and then attended opening chapel service. It was great to see everyone back in the routine!

Two days left of summer vacation...

I'm taking the days off to enjoy with Greg and the kiddos and get ready for the big day. We spent the morning relaxing at home and getting backpacks and supplies in order, and then hit Glow in the Dark Mini Golf - an all-time family favorite!

Weekend of R&R

Our friends treated us to a weekend at their cabin including some much-desired R&R! We had a wonderful time! The kids played awesome and the adults enjoyed some great conversation and laughs! Oh - and did I mention the food was amazing?!?! Thanks Scott, Kimberly, Elly, Madalyn, Luke, and Avery Jane (puppy-extradordinaire)!!!
