Mike's 50th Birthday Bash!

We celebrated Mike's 50th Birthday at Mount Vernon Country Club - the food was fabulous, conversation was wonderful, and swimming afterwards was a blast!!!

What A Day!!!

Hannah and I headed out to Regency Beauty School for pedicures ~ she's been SO wanting to sit in a chair with the massager.  While we're ultra relaxed and getting our feet done, I casually mention that we should see if they could trim her hair and it then became a shampoo, scalp massage, cut and blowdry.  She was in heaven!

After lunch we met up with the boys to head to Bass Pro so that Joshua could get a scope for his 22 - what a cool place!  There are mounts all over the place and a fish tank with HUGE fish!!! 

Not done yet ~ headed over to meet some of the Prinzi's for a game of bowling and to celebrate cousin Olivia's birthday while she's here from New York. 

I'm now running at breakneck speed, and this will be another chapter for my book to be titled "Why I Need To Slow Down"... The siblings and I were leaving for our very informal LHS Gathering at Baker Street Pub - I proceed to trip while skipping down my parents driveway (yes, the same driveway that I've done the skipping thing over a million times on in 39 years) - I do a faceplant and end up in the emergency room with 3 stitches in my lip! Now I need to find something to wear to Mike's 50th Birthday Bash that will match my black stitches - hehe!

Father's Day Weekend

 

We had such a great weekend relaxing around the house and enjoying family!  All day Saturday we played outside ~ the kids rode their scooters and enjoyed their new Aqua Blast 16-foot Dual Racing Slide while Greg and I worked in the yard (tomatoes, strawberries, and peas are slowing coming in)!  Yesterday morning we went to church at 10:30 and then out to lunch at Greg's favorite place ~ Baker Street Pub.  The kiddos had gone home with Mom after church so Greg and I enjoyed gabbing and shopping at our favorite store ~ Positively Jake (they sell all of the Life Is Good stuff).  Dinner time was grill time with Dad, Mom, Mike, and the four of us!  I am so blessed with the wonderful dads in my life!!!

Jacque, Tia, Melissa and I were inseparable in high school. Melissa and I headed to college together and were freshman roommates but then she met her husband and headed to Arkansas... 20 years later we (and Jacque and Tia) all "found" each other again on Facebook... Melissa came to town this week for a family wedding and we got together today for lunch. Unfortunately Jacque and Tia were unable to join us, but what a great visit! It was wonderful to just pick up where we left off!!!

Rain Rain Go Away

We definitely need the rain, but more than 2 inches in 48 hours?!?!  yikes!  There's major flooding north of us in Weld County ~ they say we might start to dry out tonight....

Our Newest Godchild

Today we celebrated the baptism of Evan Nicholas Prinzi - Rich and Betsy's little boy and our newest Godchild. It was a wonderful service at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church and afterwards we had lunch at their place.

Oh how I love living where we live! These guys are back for the summer just hanging out along the greenbelt! I'm glad I saw them today so they don't startle me at 6:00 am tomorrow!!!

Summer Fun

We've had a great start to summer! 

...Grandpa Bob and Gram Jeanette were here from New York (taken during Joshua's baseball game)...

...Joshua and Hannah were to the Denver Zoo with their friends (here are Hannah and Madison)...

...Wine Festivals are underway ~ Glenn was in town for the Manitou Springs Colorado Wine Festival and he and Greg poured (oh how we love our Colorado vinos)...

...and the kids have been doing lots of swimming (gotta love the matching swim shirts!)...

...the core values of YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch (www.ymcarockies.org) where we headed after school got out ~ this was our 4th year here and it has quickly become our favorite family vacation destination!!! We hiked, swam, played putt-putt and ladderball, and enjoyed many games of Monopoly, Sorry, and Yahtzee at the cabin! Total rest and relaxation - fabulous!!!
