...heading out for the day and a few pics at the farm...
Two mama cows escaped from the pasture - Hannah dubbed Dad "the cow whisperer" after he successfully returned them to the other side of the fence!
Today was our day to canoe on the Crow Wing River - another long-time family tradition!!! The weather was gorgeous with a slight breeze (i.e. no mosquitos - yea!). We traveled 6.5 miles from Huntersville to the Mary Brown Bridge. Dad and were in one canoe, and Gary, Joshua, and Hannah were in the other.
The Turtle Tally was well over 15!!!
See the blue heron just rounding the corner above the water? It traveled with us for about 30 minutes; landing in front of us and then going a little farther down stream, then landing again...
The kids loved frolicking in the river at the end of the trip!
That night we headed over to Dave and Barb's to visit them, along with Emily and Logan. What fun they discovered in the Kitty Coop - formerly the Chicken Coop - that Emily and Logan have decorated for all of the felines! It's decked out with chairs, pillows, tons of toys, and more! Each of the kids had a kitty - Ozzie, Eva, Mo, and Pippy!
We walked out for a view of the pasture - no cows there anymore, though :-( but plenty of deer!!!
