Patrick and Rosie are the baby bunnies we discovered hiding under our grill this afternoon ~ we're hoping the mama comes back for them tonight! It's been quite the adventure keeping Tanner from "discovering" them.

BLS Work Day!

We spent part of the day working at the school - pulling weeds, raking, cleaning beds, planting flowers, and laying down mulch and rock! The weather was absolutely beautiful and we had lots of amazing volunteers! All of the kiddos were a HUGE help!!!

 

 

 

Hannah's Blankie!

Oh my gosh! Hannah's blankie from her Great Aunt Evie has been well-loved and cuddled non-stop for more than 9 years, but she's still not ready to tuck it away for safekeeping...  Grammy Darls kept it today and rumor has it that a few (more!) repairs have been made :-) Thanks Momsie!

...in celebration of MLB Opening Weekend...

I absolutely love this picture of my dad's North Germany team in Minnesota - some of the most amazing men God every put on the planet are in this photo!!! The scoreboard in the background was made by the team - this picture was taken in 1953 or 1954. Maybe this is one of the reasons I love baseball so much - whether I'm cheering on Joshua's team, watching the Rockies at Coors Field, or just hanging out in front of the TV - I could watch for hours and never get bored (even when we lose in the 11th inning)!!!

Long-Time Friends!

I had lunch yesterday with a few of my girlfriends from way back when! Jacque and I met in elementary school, Amy joined us in middle school, and Susie joined us in high school. Susie now lives in Minnesota but was here visiting her mom so it was the perfect chance to get together. We had such a great time - we met for lunch at 1:00 and gabbed and laughed non-stop for more than three hours!!!

Just finished reading this novel about a young Polish woman living in Holland, and then in a Lebensborn (maternity home) in Germany, during World War II - tough to put down!

Opening Day!!!

We've been waiting 6 months for this day ~  

Opening Day for the Colorado Rockies!!!

Today's breakfast = chocolate donuts with Rockies' sprinkles.  The kids get out at 1:00 - just in time for the first pitch at 2:10!  We're having classic ballfield food during the game ~ giant pretzels, hot dogs, nachos, ice cream, and lemonade!
