The word Advent derives from the Latin word meaning coming; the Lord is coming. The season of advent is upon us and we're anxiously awaiting the celebration of Christmas ~ the birth of Jesus! In the meantime there's lots going on while we wait...
...Joshua went to the woods with Dad and Gary to get Gary's Christmas tree...
...the kids decorated these cute Christmas t-shirts...
...the advent calendar came out of storage...
...and the star was the first ornament up...
...our advent wreath came out, too, and Sunday we read and reflected on the season of Advent... We're looking forward to a fun weekend with friends ~ ice skating and hot chocolate, the Parade of Lights, and enjoying time together!!!
